From experience
If the ledger loads and 'UK: HMRC connected services' is the red component, stop rebuilding browsers. File on the HMRC portal or wait for the connector. Export a trial balance if you are against a deadline.

- AWS looking ugly. Xero Cloud sits on public cloud. Still wait for Xero to post; see AWS.

Bank feeds and demo companies
A bank's feed dying is listed separately from the Xero platform. Demo companies and practice-to-client copies confuse new staff who think "Xero is empty". Check which org is selected. MFA device loss looks like a login outage; it is not.
Official status: status.xero.com. Connected services (HMRC and others) are named when Xero knows. We will not guess which side of a tax bridge failed.
