If Checkout is named, switch the button to a card-direct or a second processor if you have one. Titles that start with 'Initial Notification' and 'Live Site Maintenance' are usually planned windows, not a surprise outage.

Do not confuse these with an outage
- A single buyer decline with a processor code. The card. Not PayPal being dark.
- Sandbox credentials on a newly deployed live site. Your release, their board will be quiet.
- Seller account limited. Risk and compliance. Only you see it.
- Checkout named on the RSS. Switch to a card-direct or a second processor if you have one, and quote the official event.

Braintree, Venmo, and Hyperwallet
Those names on the RSS are not "PayPal.com is down". A Venmo incident does not stop a Braintree card charge. Quote the product. Buyer protection disputes and holds are account-level and will never be on the public feed.
